Causal relationship between schizophrenia and five types of dementia: A bidirectional two-sample Mendelian

Schizophrenia increases the risk for all-cause dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and vascular dementia. However, dementia does not appear to be a risk factor for schizophrenia, suggesting a potential genetic link.
