Purpose of the Study:

  • A cross-sectional study compared attendance data from 52 schools across 32 rural districts in upstate New York.
  • Student attendance was analyzed for 66,303 students (K-12) over four school years (2015-2019).
  • Multivariable logistic regression modeled the association between SBHC access and chronic absenteeism risk.

  • Students in districts with SBHCs demonstrated significantly lower rates of chronic absenteeism compared to those without.
