Abstract:
Siglecs are proteins that play important biological roles, especially in the immune system. Intervention with Siglec recognition has potential for modulation of the immune system. Progress in the discovery of specific Siglec ligands combined with the use of multivalent platforms for these ligands has allowed effective intervention in various scenarios. This review discusses these systems and focuses on the nature of these multivalent systems.
