The eShunt System (CereVasc, Charlestown, Massachusetts, USA) is a novel endovascularly implantable cerebrospinal fluid shunt that has recently emerged as an alternative strategy for the treatment of communicating hydrocephalus.1 It consists of the eShunt implant and its associated delivery components.2 The shunt is designed to be implanted via a transvenous approach into the cerebellopontine angle cistern, mimicking the natural physiology of arachnoid granulations.3 4 In this technical video 1, we will review the key anatomic considerations and device components that allow for the safe and efficient deployment of the eShunt. The procedure is demonstrated step by step, highlighting important patient selection criteria and the technical nuances of the procedure. Finally, we address some common challenges encountered, along with strategies to overcome them. neurintsurg;17/8/792/V1F1V1Video 1 A technical video demonstrating key clinical and anatomical criteria as well as procedural steps for the use of the eShunt System.
