Abstract:
Healthcare systems encounter significant challenges in operational optimization. One critical area is hospital scheduling, especially regarding staff assignments across various medical departments, where existing tools often fall short. This paper presents a method for automating shift compliance using a rule-based system that employs Deontic Defeasible Logic (DDL).
