Tracheostomy: Procedure and Tubes

A tracheostomy is a surgical procedure that creates an artificial opening into the trachea, typically at the second or third cartilaginous ring level. Background:

Periareolar mastopexy frequently leads to undesirable scarring and areola distortion.
Patient concerns regarding vertical and horizontal scars often limit surgical options to periareolar incisions only.

Purpose of the Study:

To present a novel technique for periareolar closure in breast surgery.
To evaluate the efficacy of this technique, particularly in mastopexy-augmentation procedures.

A specific technique for periareolar closure during breast surgery was employed.
The technique was primarily applied to patients undergoing mastopexy-augmentation.

Main Results:

The presented periareolar closure technique demonstrated efficacy in our patient cohort.
