[Delayed respiratory distress syndrome of the newborn infant]

Abstract:
Apart from the early onset respiratory distress syndrome of the newborn, there is a "delayed" form of this syndrome beginning a few days or later after birth. Based on 24 patients the differential diagnosis of this "delayed" respiratory distress syndrome is discussed.
