Two novel polyimide covalent organic frameworks (TPA-NDI and TPPA-NDI) are developed for zinc-ion battery cathodes. By introducing a p-type ligand conjugation extension strategy, TPPA-NDI batteries achieve dual-ion storage within a broad voltage window (0-1.6 V), delivering high energy density of 278.4 Wh kg-1.
