Oxytocin facilitates human touch-induced play behavior in rats

Tickling juvenile rats with human hands increases their affinity for humans by activating oxytocin signaling in the brain. This research highlights the role of oxytocin receptors in the ventrolateral hypothalamus in mediating pleasant touch and social bonding.
