Abstract:
The handling of high-molecular-weight mucins requires specialized methods. The present manuscript introduces a slot blotting-based technique to screen post-ultracentrifugation fractions using colorimetric assays. Next, we describe an easy slot blot-based method to characterize mucin-bacteria interactions and to assess the effects of glycan enzymatic treatment on bacterial adhesion.
