Standardised assessment in developing countries

In developing countries, the standardised psychiatric assessment raises special problems: lack of trained manpower, lack of research facilities, transcultural aspects of concepts and wording originally elaborated by Western psychiatrists. The author gives a few examples, mainly from the PSE.
