Vector field transformation-based wavefront synthesis for conformal metasurface cloak design
None:
Controlling unique electromagnetic properties has sparked interest in cloaking, but traditional methods struggle with higher-order conformal surfaces (HOCS). This paper proposes a vector field transformation (VFT)-based wavefield synthesis method for optimizing conformal metasurface cloaks. By transforming different lattice patterns into the global coordinate system, the method enables the computation of the scattering wavefields quickly and accurately. The comparison of the theoretically calculated and full-wave simulated scattering field of HOCS validates its effectiveness. Furthermore, both simulation and experimental results show that, based on the proposed wavefront synthesis method, optimized conformal metasurface cloaks successfully achieve stealth properties or multiple beam steering. This resource-efficient approach offers a promising avenue for advancing metasurface cloaking.
