Abstract:
Senescent cell-released exosomes play a pivotal role in regulating intercellular communication by transferring bioactive molecules and signaling components. These extracellular vesicles, derived from senescent cells, carry a cargo that includes proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids, influencing the functional status of recipient cells. To facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the intricate molecular mechanisms underlying senescence-associated communication, a detailed and robust protocol is introduced herein. This protocol is specifically designed for the isolation of exosomes derived from senescent cells, laying the groundwork for downstream analyses aimed at unraveling the functional and molecular characteristics of these critical mediators of intercellular signaling.
