Methods of reducing fever

The signs and symptoms of fever include hot and dry skin, flushed face, thirst, muscle aches, anorexia, headache, tachycardia, tachypnea, and fatigue. Elevated body temperature is reduced using two methods: pharmacological and nonpharmacological. Proper identification and treatment of the root cause of a fever is of utmost importance.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To synthesize current evidence on the efficacy of cryotherapy for knee osteoarthritis.
  • To evaluate cryotherapy's impact on pain reduction, strength enhancement, and functional improvement in knee OA patients.

Main Methods:

  • A systematic literature search was conducted across multiple databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, PEDro, Scopus, Web of Science, LILACS) and gray literature sources.
  • Risk of bias was assessed using the Cochrane RoB 2 tool by two independent reviewers.
