Abstract:
Mediastinal paragangliomas are rare tumors. Complete resection is the standard treatment. Paragangliomas are often highly vascularized, making resection potentially challenging. This report is of a 49-year-old female patient with a highly vascularized pretracheal paraganglioma that was successfully treated with preoperative embolization followed by surgical resection via left anterolateral thoracotomy.
