Abstract:
Managing chronic fracture pain presents a therapeutic challenge due to the development of resistance to conventional analgesics. We report the successful use of peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) via an infraclavicular brachial plexus approach to treat refractory chronic pain after a humeral neck fracture in a 75-year-old woman. The patient achieved complete pain resolution, discontinued all adjuvant analgesics, and experienced no procedure-related complications. This case supports the emerging role of PNS as an effective opioid-sparing intervention for chronic upper extremity pain. .
