Tumor-infiltrating natural killer (NK) cells can suppress anti-cancer immunity by hindering CD8+ T-cell differentiation, reducing the effectiveness of immune checkpoint blockers (ICB). Lower NK cell presence correlates with better patient responses to ICB therapy.
