Computed tomography of primary melanoma of the leptomeninges: case reports

Primary malignant melanoma arising from the leptomeninges is a rare entity. We describe the computed tomography findings and clinical course in two cases. The literature on this subject is briefly reviewed. An expanded differential diagnosis is presented for dural convexity tumors simulating the computed tomography appearance of meningiomas.
