The advancement of nanowire electrocatalysts with high-performance and durability is crucial for sustainable development. Herein, uniform high-entropy alloy (HEA) PtPdRuCuTe nanowires (NWs) are prepared with a simple one-step hydrothermal method. The PtPdRuCuTe NWs demonstrate a mass activity of 4200.01 mA mg-1 and excellent stability for methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) under alkaline condition. Specifically, a current ratio of forward and backward scans (If/Ib) of 5.04, higher than most reported catalysts, is achieved, indicating a superior CO anti-poisoning capability. Density functional theoretical calculations reveal that the tuned electronic structures and multi-active sites facilitate the fast electron transfer during MOR. Furthermore, the incorporation of Ru and Cu into PtPdRuCuTe NWs mitigates the adsorption of CO intermediates, thereby refreshing the multi-active sites and enhancing MOR performances. This work significantly contributes to the development of HEA NWs and sets a foundation for design of multi-active sites synergistic catalysts with high efficiency.

Reduction of Alkenes: Asymmetric Catalytic Hydrogenation
The metal catalyst used can be either heterogeneous or homogeneous. When hydrogenation of an alkene generates a chiral center, a pair of enantiomeric products is expected to form. However, an enantiomeric excess of one of the products can be facilitated using an enantioselective reaction or an...
