Emerging strategies for inkjet-printed perovskite quantum dots in high-performance LED displays

Abstract:
Inkjet printing has emerged as a promising technique for integrating perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) into light-emitting diode (LED) devices, offering precise patterning, minimal waste, and scalability. PQDs have gained significant attention for their exceptional optoelectronic properties, making them promising for display technologies. This review explores recent advances in inkjet-printed PQD inks, including key factors influencing successful inkjet printing, ink formulation strategies, film uniformity improvements, and stability enhancements. Recent advancements in printed PQDs for LEDs are summarized. The coffee-ring effect, along with potential solutions, is mentioned. Finally, future perspectives on PQD ink formulations, industrial-scale production, and novel integration techniques are discussed to advance PQD-based LED displays.
