Abstract:
Background and Purpose: This study was conducted to test the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Angle Labor Pain Questionnaire (A-LPQ). Methods: This cross-sectional research was carried out with 229 women giving birth in Turkey. Confirmatory factor analysis was employed to evaluate the compliance of the Turkish version with the original construct of the A-LPQ. Internal consistency analyses were used for reliability analysis. Results: The construct validity test showed that the Turkish version of the scale had 22 items and 5 subdimensions like the original scale. Coefficient alpha was .904 for the total scale and ranged between .717 and .853 for the subscales. Conclusions: The Turkish version of the A-LPQ is a valid and reliable tool for assessing labor pain.
