Nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-containing protein 2 (NOD2) polymorphisms rs2066845 and rs2066847 are linked to a higher risk of colorectal cancer (CRC). These findings suggest NOD2 variants could serve as biomarkers for CRC predisposition.
