Psychosocial and environmental variables in outcome of black schizophrenics

Psychosocial and environmental variables associated with the black schizophrenic patient's discharge from the hospital, community adjustment, and rehospitalization, if any, were examined. Numerous significant variables related to the outcome were identified on the medical, nursing, and social work question-naires through personal interviews with 128 black schizophrenic patients and their families.
