Suboptimal incision lines and a bone dehiscence exposure complicated the surgical outcome following a mandibular frenectomy in a previously orthodontically treated patient. The case report describes the surgical intervention used to treat the complication and documents the long-term stability of periodontal health, complete root coverage, and thick gingival phenotype status.
