Thoracic Surgeons' Attitude Towards Three Dimensional Printed Products: A Pilot Study

3D printing is applicable in various fields. This study aimed to explore the attitudes of thoracic surgeons about the use of 3D printed products. A questionnaire was developed, including questions about demographics, and surgeons' attitude towards the 3D printing technology. Descriptive statistics and correlations were examined. The attitude of thoracic surgeons towards 3D printed products was positive. For instance, most of them considered that three-dimensional products are helpful to either be educated or be informed about the anatomy of an organ as well as for organising and performing a scheduled surgery. Whereas no significant importance was found, there are no significant differences between demographic characteristics and attitude scores towards three-dimensional products.
