Local anesthetics (LAs) block the sodium channels of nerve trunks, sensory nerve endings, and neuromuscular junctions. Summary

Fibromyalgia patients exhibit two distinct neuroanatomical subtypes, one with increased gray matter volume and poorer treatment response, highlighting different neuropathological processes. These findings suggest a need for individualized treatment strategies for fibromyalgia.
