Association Between ACE Gene I/D Polymorphism and Diabetic Retinopathy in Mexican Population

The angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) I/I genotype is linked to a higher risk of diabetic retinopathy (DR). This finding suggests the ACE gene I/D polymorphism may be a risk factor for DR in type 2 diabetes patients.
