Abstract:
Twelve known compounds and four undescribed terpenoids, including wallbiaoid B (1), wallingen A (8), wallabielide B (13) and wallabiaid A (14) were isolated from the plant Euphorbia wallichii. The structure and stereochemistry of these compounds were evaluated by 1D and 2D NMR, calculated electronic circular dichroism (ECD) and mass spectrometry analysis. In addition, the inhibitory effect of all these isolated compounds on LPS-induced nitric oxide (NO) overproduction in mouse monocyte-macrophage leukemia cell RAW264.7 was determined. Representative compound 10 was molecularly docked with ALB protein to predict its efficacy against inflammation.
