Abstract:
Due to the outstanding characteristics of concentration batteries, they are considered a key technology that should provide a future breakthrough in the energy sector. However, the lack of strategic guidance from engineering and scientific theories has posed significant challenges to the engineering development process of these novel devices. This paper, based on the new technical theoretical perspective of the diffusion flux-driving force equation, proposes a new degree of freedom for optimizing the realization of physical devices to enhance their practical usability. Subsequently, we categorized and summarized concentration batteries, deriving the theoretical electromotive force (EMF) of various devices based on their operational characteristics. By combining multiple numerical simulations of the models, we confirmed that these devices possess high energy storage activity and stability. Additionally, based on this theoretical framework, we identified key directions for breakthroughs necessary for the realization of concentration batteries in the future. By integrating the planning of theoretical development with practical realities and addressing developmental issues from a more cutting-edge perspective, we will lay a solid foundation for the rapid realization of the large-scale and personalized application of the next generation of new energy storage devices.
