Cannabidiol potentiates phenobarbital-induced cell death in the developing brain

Cannabidiol (CBD) shows no neurotoxicity in young rats alone, but combining it with phenobarbital (PB) significantly increases neuronal death. Caution is advised when using CBD with PB for pediatric epilepsy.
