Optimizing Guide Extension Catheter Advancement in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Stepwise Approach Enhanced

A novel stepwise balloon anchoring technique successfully delivered drug-eluting stents (DES) in complex coronary artery lesions. This bailout strategy overcomes challenges in tortuous, calcified arteries when conventional methods fail, ensuring stent placement.

- This technique allowed for the successful delivery and placement of three DES in the complex RCA lesions.
- The procedure resulted in successful stenting with no residual stenosis and TIMI III flow in the RCA.
