We evaluated the Vitek®2 AST-N233 and AST-XN12 cards for detecting carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales. Using key antibiotic markers, we developed a simple algorithm to predict carbapenemase class. The system showed excellent performance for identifying NDMs, supporting rapid, cost-effective detection directly from AST results.
