Genomic medicine, an emerging field integrating genetic and genomic information into clinical practice, has revolutionized disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Advances in next-generation sequencing, personalized medicine, and pharmacogenomics have enabled precise risk assessment, early disease detection, and tailored therapeutic interventions. The application of genomic medicine spans various medical fields, including oncology, cardiology, neurology, and infectious diseases, facilitating targeted therapies and improving patient outcomes. Additionally, gene-editing technologies such as CRISPR-Cas9 hold promise for correcting genetic disorders at the molecular level. Despite its potential, challenges such as ethical concerns, data privacy, and accessibility remain critical considerations. This review explores the latest advancements, clinical applications, and future prospects of genomic medicine in disease prevention and treatment.
