Background:
- Palisaded encapsulated neuromas (PENs), also termed solitary circumscribed neuromas, are benign peripheral nerve sheath tumors.
- Typically presenting as solitary lesions on mucocutaneous surfaces, PENs are generally considered to have no association with systemic syndromes.
