[CSO missions and roles in the organization of obesity care networks]

The prevalence of obesity continues to rise in France, particularly at the expense of the most severe forms, which are managed as level 3 referrals by specialized obesity centers as part of their M1 mission. As part of their M2 mission, they structure and coordinate obesity care networks in conjunction with level 1 and 2 referral services and the various medical, paramedical and medico-social players involved in coordinated care pathways. The specialized obesity centers are also involved in the ongoing training of healthcare professionals in the prevention, screening and/or management of childhood, adolescent and adult obesity, and must make this care offer clear and accessible.
