Abstract:
Core-shell structured luminescent materials, specifically SiO2@YPO4:Eu3+ and SiO2@YPO4:Eu3+,Tb3+, were synthesized by a combination of coprecipitation and high temperature solid-state methods. Structural characterization confirmed that tetragonal YPO4 -coated the SiO2 cores. When excited at 395 nm, the Eu3+-doped material exhibited dominant 5D0 → 7F1 emission at 593 nm. Codoping with Tb3+ enabled near-white light modulation, indicating potential for WLED applications.
