Case Summary:
Residual or recurrent tricuspid regurgitation after tricuspid transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) is associated with substantial impairment of quality of life. Treatment options remain scarce, as additional TEER devices and transcatheter valve replacement are often restricted by TEER devices. Here, wire-based interventional clip excision with consecutive intended single-leaflet detachment facilitated the opportunity for transfemoral tricuspid valve replacement.
Take-Home Message:
In patients with recurrent or residual tricuspid regurgitation after TEER, wire-based interventional clip excision may facilitate the option for tricuspid transcatheter valve replacement in selected cases.
