Wheat-dependent exercise-induced anaphylaxis (WDEIA) diagnosis in children may require alternative markers. Alpha/beta gliadin-specific IgE shows promise when omega-5 gliadin tests are negative, improving diagnostic accuracy for pediatric wheat allergy.

- This indicates that omega-5 gliadin sIgE alone may be insufficient for diagnosing WDEIA in children.
- Alpha/beta gliadin sIgE can potentially serve as an alternative diagnostic marker in pediatric WDEIA cases.
