Abstract:
Based on multi-dimensional observation data from the coastline of Jiaozhou Bay, this study adopts the perspective of spatial equilibrium in development and utilization activities and introduces the concept of "three-living spaces." It comprehensively considers the requirements for production, living, and ecological protection to construct an evaluation index system for the suitability of coastal resource and environmental development. Using ArcGIS spatial analysis, the study evaluates the suitability of various sections of the coastline for production and ecological purposes, as well as sub-indicators. Additionally, an ecological resilience assessment framework is established to evaluate the level of ecological resilience along the Jiaozhou Bay coastline and identify issues in the utilization of coastal resources. The results indicate that: (1) The mouth of Jiaozhou Bay, the coastline from Xidayang Village to Dongdayang Village, Cangkou Bay, and the northern side of Yanghe Mouth are suitable for production use; the coastline from Matui Reef to Tuandao and from Xidayang Village to Suliu Village is suitable for living use; the wetland area on the northern side of Jiaozhou Bay is suitable for ecological protection. (2) Most of the coastline exhibits low ecological resilience, with low-resilience areas mainly concentrated at the bay's mouth. Among the low-resilience areas, those with medium-high potential, high potential, and medium resilience with high potential require further resilience enhancement.
