IL-1β-Mediated Immunometabolic Adaptation in Corneal Epithelial Cells

Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) exposure alters corneal epithelial cell (CEC) mitochondrial function. Prolonged IL-1β exposure increases spare respiratory capacity, suggesting CECs adapt to chronic inflammation.
