Summary

Preoperative CT imaging parameters can predict lymph node metastasis and invasion in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). Volume of interest (VOI) measurements showed better accuracy than region of interest (ROI) analysis.

Background:

  • Accurate preoperative assessment of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) is crucial for treatment planning.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the correlation between preoperative contrast-enhanced laryngeal CT-derived histogram and shape features and pathological outcomes in LSCC.
  • To assess the utility of these radiomic features in predicting cervical lymph node metastasis, tumor differentiation, lymphovascular invasion, and perineural invasion.
