Summary

Glymphatic system function is impaired in prolonged disorders of consciousness (pDoC). Impaired glymphatic function, measured by blood-oxygen-level-dependent and cerebrospinal fluid (BOLD-CSF) coupling, can predict improved consciousness outcomes in pDoC patients.
