Background:

Preoperative exercise training is recommended for lung cancer resection patients to reduce complications and improve capacity.
Implementation of such programs in Australian clinical settings is limited due to resource and time constraints.

Purpose of the Study:

To describe the protocol for evaluating the implementation of a preoperative exercise training program for lung cancer resection patients in Australia.
To assess the feasibility and effectiveness of a hybrid gym and telerehabilitation program.

Main Methods:

Evaluation of a secondary objective within a larger study on lung cancer resection's impact on patient outcomes.
Prospective recruitment of participants diagnosed with lung cancer and planned surgical treatment.
Utilizing the Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, Maintenance (RE-AIM) framework with quantitative and qualitative measures.

Main Results:
