Abstract:
Copper ferrite (CuFe2O4) is a semiconducting nanocomposite which has spinel structure and Halloysite nanotube (HNT) is an eco-friendly nanotube that has aluminosilicate structure. In this work, we prepared CuFe2O4@HNT with the help of ultrasonic method. The structural and surface morphology of the composite was confirmed by the XRD, XPS, SEM and EDX analysis. The electrocatalytic performance of the CuFe2O4@HNT for the detection of Tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) were evaluated by the CV, EIS and DPV analysis. The composite exhibited the sensitivity level of detection is 0.07 μM in the linear range of 0.08-100 μM owing to their systematic arrangement of copper ferrite active nanoparticles on the nanotubes. Moreover, the selectivity, stability and real samples analysis experiments of the CuFe2O4@HNT were conducted which results indicate that the material is suitable sensing probe for detect the target TBHQ in the complex food samples.
