Early Oncological and Functional Outcomes of Three-Dimensional Laparoscopic Retzius-Sparing Radical Prostatectomy: A

Introduction:
This study evaluates the feasibility and early oncological and functional outcomes of laparoscopic Retzius-sparing radical prostatectomy, presenting results from the first 10 cases.
Methods:
Ten consecutive patients with localized prostate cancer underwent laparoscopic Retzius-sparing radical prostatectomy. Perioperative, oncological, and functional outcomes were assessed at 6 months.
Results:
Median operative time was 97 min, estimated blood loss was 120 mL, and median hospital stay was 2.5 days. At 6 months, continence rates were 90%, erectile function recovery was 60%, and no biochemical recurrence was observed.
Conclusion:
Laparoscopic Retzius-sparing radical prostatectomy appears to be a feasible and effective approach with favorable early functional and oncological outcomes. Further studies with larger cohorts and extended follow-up are necessary.
