Cancer is recognized as a major health issue and remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Various anticancer agents were synthesized, but most current drugs lack specificity and cause numerous adverse effects associated with chemotherapy. The ongoing research aims to develop novel anticancer agents for future cancer therapies. Quinoxaline derivatives have been shown as a promising compound due to their potential to inhibit various cancer-related pathways and enzymes. This review gathers and presents numerous research studies on the anticancer efficaciousness of quinoxaline derivatives as a treatment and summarizes the results that were carried out between 2015 and 2024.
