Canine Sperm Concentration: Comparison Between Neubauer Cell Counting, Photometers and a CASA System

Evaluating canine sperm concentration using counting chambers, spectrophotometry (Accuread, SDM1), and CASA (HT-IVOS II) revealed method variability. Only the HT-IVOS II analyzer with immobilized sperm showed good agreement with the counting chamber in translucent media.

- Further research with larger sample sizes and inclusion of flow cytometry is recommended to improve sperm analysis accuracy.
