Abstract:
As the understanding of mind-body connections deepens, the importance of addressing psychological factors within cardiovascular care has gained recognition. This review examines the necessity for cardiovascular doctors to broaden their knowledge in psychology and mental health to optimize patient outcomes. Psychological stress, depression, and anxiety have profound effects on cardiovascular health, often exacerbating symptoms, influencing recovery rates, and affecting treatment adherence. Consequently, integrating psychological knowledge can enhance the efficacy of cardiovascular care, addressing both physiological and psychological facets of health.
