Summary
Transverse and sagittal optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) measurements are not interchangeable for estimating intracranial pressure (ICP). While diagnostic accuracy was similar, transverse ONSD remains the standard for point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS).
