Abstract:
Whole-genome sequencing demonstrated that Cryptococcus neoformans serotype A from cerebrospinal fluid and larynx of a patient receiving therapy for refractory multiple myeloma and from the patient's medical cannabis were indistinguishable. This is the first study to definitively link an infection to a pathogen in medical cannabis used by a patient.
